Psychological Testing and Assessment

Psychological testing can clarify diagnoses, identify strengths and challenges, guide treatment planning, and inform educational, and vocational. Testing provides objective, standardized data that complements clinical interviews and observations, leading to more targeted and effective interventions.

Reasons for psychological testing

  • Clarify diagnostic questions (e.g., ADHD, learning disorders, mood or anxiety disorders, neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive conditions)

  • Evaluate cognitive abilities, learning profiles, and academic skills

  • Assess personality, emotional functioning, and behavioral concerns

  • Inform treatment planning and measure treatment progress

  • Determine eligibility for accommodations in school, work, or testing environments

  • Support vocational or career planning

Process

  • Initial Intake appointment: A clinical interview and review of medical, developmental, educational, and psychosocial history to define referral questions and select appropriate tests.

  • In-person testing: Administration of standardized cognitive, academic, and/or psychological measures across one or more sessions, depending on the scope of the evaluation.

  • Final meeting to review results and recommendations: A feedback session where results are explained, recommendations are discussed, and a written report is provided to the client.

Fee

  • Private Pay: $1,500.00
